So as much fun as I have writing about the delightfully odd people and situations in my life I also enjoy indulging in a more whimsical side. So today I’d like to share my comics. I’ve been drawing Glen the hookah-smoking caterpillar since I was in my teens. At the time he provided much needed respite from reality and I am almost sad that I let him fade into the background and be forgotten with all my other childhood mementos. But as technology progressed from Microsoft Paint to more intense illustration programs I didn’t feel like I could learn the insanely anti-intuitive Photoshop program and Glen more or less just sat on an old digital shelf somewhere getting dusty.

Over the years I thought about him a lot but only recently did I discover drawing tablets – something that would allow me to just draw Glen as if he were on paper but with the added benefits of an illustration program. So many thanks to Wacom for providing me with what I needed to resurrect my old pal – Glen the Hookah-Smoking Caterpillar. From now on I will be uploading a new comic every Friday of Glen misinterpreting song lyrics or getting into ridiculous situations at Glen the Caterpillar dot Com! So please come and join the fun!
